    Camden Library Coffeehouse features Brian Robbins, 7 p.m. Robbins is a former lobsterman who writes about the waterfront in his column "Bearin's" as well as playing music, "some originals that are rooted in the ocean and experiences from the fishing days . . . but most of the time, it's anything from Willie Nelson to the Stones that provided the soundtrack to our lives on the water," according to a news release. Part of "Maritime Month" at the Camden Public Library. $5 admission.

    Gallery talk at the Camden Public Library, 7 p.m. Join Matt Wheeler of the Penobscot Marine Museum, Maynard Bray, and Don Merchant for a slide show with photos and commentary on "Kids, Cameras, and Post-war Waterfronts" featuring photographs from the late 1940s taken by Maynard Bray and Don Merchant. Part of the Library's "Maritime Month" events.

    First session in Coastal Senior College class "Jewish Mysticism and Contemporary Spiritual Search," 12 p.m., at the Camden Public Library, led by Rabbi Steve Shaw. Register with the Senior College by call 207-596-6906.

    "A History of Megunticook Lake: Prehistory through the 20th Century," presented by Paul Leeper of the Megunticook Lake Association, 7 p.m. at the Camden Public Library. Part of "Maritime Month" at the library.

    Saturday, April 11

    Free film presentation by Ben and Teresa Carey, One Simple Question, 4 p.m., at the Camden Public Library, about their quest to sail north until they find an iceberg. The Careys sailed over 1600 miles to reach the first sign of ice off Newfoundland — a massive piece of the Petermann Ice Island, the record-breaking iceberg that drew the attention of climate scientists worldwide. The screening will be co-hosted by the Ocean Cruising Club; the film is directed by Derek Alan Rowe. Part of the Camden Public Library's "Maritime Month" series.

    Sunday, April 12

    Maynard Stanley, a Maine licensed Animal Damage Control Agent, will give a talk at the Camden Public Library at 2 p.m., entitled, "I Hear Chirping Noises in My Home, Help!" The talk is part of the Maine Living Series of the Camden-Rockport Historical Society. The talk will include stories, slide show, and questions and answers about Critters and home invasion and how to stop them in their tracks. Come find out the answers critter questions.

    Destination Wellness Midcoast Maine presents "Nourishing the Skin From the Inside Out," 12 p.m., at the Camden Public Library. Two skin care specialists will partner with a doctor of nutrition to educate on the science and aesthetics of healthy and beautiful skin. This event is presented by Sandra Sleeper, Sue Kelly RN, and Judi Valentine, doctorate. The talk is part of the Wellness Brown Bag Lunch series.

    The Reading Group of the Camden Philosophical Society will continue its discussion of the relationship of art and science at its regular monthly meeting, 4 p.m. at the Camden Public Library. All are welcome.

    Lou Sapienza, photographer and team leader of the group that recovered WWII aircraft from deep in a Greenland glacier, will present a slide talk on his adventures in "Frozen in Time" at the Camden Public Library at 7 p.m., as part of the library's "Maritime Month" series. Sapienza is a Rockport resident.

    Midcoast Audubon Society presents "Climate Change and the Biology of the Arctic" by Paty Matrai of the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, 7 p.m. at the Camden Public Library. Part of the library's "Maritime Month" series.
