ROCKLAND — On Tuesday, June 20, from 4 to 6 p.m., University College at Rockland will host an informal Open House at its campus to welcome interested college students.

As a part of the University of Maine System that extends courses, certificates and full degree programs into the mid-coast area, the Open House event at UC Rockland will be a chance to hear an overview of academic programs available locally as well as to learn about the full range of student support services.

Admissions and financial aid personnel, faculty and staff will be on hand to give tours, answer questions and to guide new students in the process.

Anyone, including recent high school graduates and returning older adults with any urge to start a university program, is welcome to attend.  For those who take out an application for admission on that day, the fee will be waived.

The program will open at 4 p.m. with a welcome from Associate Provost at UMA, Brenda McAleer, and include an academic overview, Q & A, individual time with staff and a tour of the facility. Refreshments will be served.

More information is available by calling University College at Rockland at 596-6906.  Registration for the event is available at https://umaugusta.secure.force.com/events#/esr?eid=a0Rj000000AZbstEAD
