On Maine Wild Blueberry Festival Day at the Union Fair, Aug. 27, Kimberly Maekin Reed, of Warren, was crowned the 2016 Maine Wild Blueberry Queen.

Kimberly is a 2012 graduate of Medomak Valley High School and attends the University of Maine at Fort Kent.  She is pursuing a bachelor’s of science in nursing and is employed at Pen Bay Medical Center. Her future plans include being in the internship program there.  Her interests are gardening, boating, hunting and photography.

Kimberly's sponsors are Spruce Mountain Blueberries, Hammer Down Construction and Perle Photography. 

In her capacity as the 2016 Maine Wild Blueberry Queen will represent the Maine Wild Blueberry industry and the Union Fair.
