UMaine Hutchinson Center Announces Summer 2017 Registration and Scholarships

Registration is open for summer courses offered through the University of Maine Hutchinson Center in Belfast. Over 200 courses, both live and via distance education (online, ITV and videoconferencing) will be offered throughout the summer. Summer University is held May 15 to August 18.

UMaineOnline allows students to be a Black Bear from anywhere. Whether completing a bachelor’s degree or advancing your career through graduate studies, UMaineOnline and the Hutchinson Center are sources for education the Midcoast. Visit umaine.edu/online to learn about the variety of courses and programs offered online year round.

All students taking UMaine summer courses are provided with academic advising and scholarship opportunities. To meet with an academic advisor or to register, call the UMaine Hutchinson Center at 207.338.8000. The deadline for the summer scholarship application is two weeks prior to the first day of class. Apply early.

Some of the courses offered this summer term at the Hutchinson Center include: MAT101:Nature & Language of Math, ENG101: College Composition, HTY103: US History, and PSY230: Social Psychology. There is limited funding available to qualified high school juniors and seniors for who wish to take College Composition (ENG 101) or Nature & Language of Math (MAT 101).
