Two transported to hospital following Unity crash

    On Nov. 16, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Waldo County Sheriff's Office responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 220 and Depot Street in Unity.

    Upon arrival, responding units determined that Bradley Brockway, 73, of Albion, was driving south on Route 220 in a 2015 machinery delivery truck. Brandi Reynolds, 35, of Unity, was operating a 1998 Plymouth Neon on Depot Street. He was accompanied by passenger Patty Bishop, 56, of Unity. The Plymouth left the stop sign at the intersection and the vehicles collided on Route 220.

    Brockway was not injured in the crash. Reynolds and Bishop received serious injuries and were transported for emergency care. Sergeant Nick Oettinger is investigating the crash. The Waldo County Sheriff's Office completed an accident reconstruction and laser mapping of the scene.

    The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Maine State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit as well as the Unity Fire Department.
