Trafficking in drugs, assaults on correction officers at Maine State Prison top Knox County grand jury indictments

    ROCKLAND — The Knox County grand jury handed down their indictments against 12 defendants August 9. An indictment does not imply guilt.

    Nicole Cassetta, 35, of Portland, was indicted for trafficking in prison contraband (suboxone) on Nov. 21, 2016 in Warren.

    Carole E. Digaetano, 59, of Portland, was indicted trafficking in prison contraband (suboxone) on Nov. 21, 2016 in Warren.

    Justin Bruce Digaetano, 27, of the Maine State Prison, was indicted for trafficking in prison contraband (suboxone) on Nov. 21, 2016 in Warren.

    Charles H. Dodge, 34, of Thomaston, was indicted for aggravated trafficking in drugs (fentanyl) on Feb. 28 in Rockland. Dodge had a previous drug conviction in 2012.

    Chad Hanes Fogg, 35, of the Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for trafficking in prison contraband (suboxone) on Nov. 21, 2016 in Warren.

    Ronald Westley Goad Jr., 30, of the Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for assault on a corrections officer and criminal threatening on Nov. 28, 2016 at the prison.

    Nikki L. Gray, 25, of Cushing, was indicted for three counts of unlawful trafficking in drugs (fentanyl and cocaine) in February and March in Rockland.

    Carl Wayne Heath, 36, of the Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for two counts of felony assault on a corrections officer on Sept. 27, 2016 at the prison.

    Jason D. Patterson, 45, of Bowdoin, was indicted on two counts of Class A aggravated assault on Nov. 15, 2106 and Dec. 1, 2016 in St. George. Patterson allegedly used a flashlight to cause bodily injury to the victim. He also had previous domestic violence convictions in 2013 and 2015.

    Jason L. Marriner, 48, of Vinalhaven, was indicted for felony theft on Jan. 28 on Vinalhaven of lobsters and other property owned by Americanus Lobster LLC. The stolen property was valued at more than $1,000; unauthorized use of property.

    Joe R. Maye, 51, of Warren, was indicted for operating after revocation; violation of condition of release.

    Lauren A. Tozier Jr., 45, of Warren, was indicted for aggravated assault on Jan. 9 in Warren when he allegedly tried to strangle a woman, domestic violence assault, and two counts of violation of condition of release; trafficking in prison contraband from Jan. 18 through Feb. 8 in Rockland; violation of condition of release; six counts of attempted violation of condition of release. According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Arthur Smith and Sgt. Matthew Elwell responded to the report of a domestic assault in Warren. Tozier fled the scene prior to the arrival of the deputies. A temporary warrant for domestic violence terrorizing, aggravated assault, and violation of conditional release was issued on Tozier.

    Tozier was also convicted of domestic violence terrorizing in 2008 and 2016.
