Timothy R. Bucklin, obituary

BELFAST — Timothy Ralph Bucklin, 55, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2017, with family by his side. He was born in Belfast on Dec. 3, 1961, the youngest of eight children. He was the son of Mary (Savage) Bucklin and Eben F. Cook. He grew up in Belfast and attended area schools.

Timmy lived in Florida for many years, where he was a roofer, a certified plumber and renovated mobile homes. He returned to Maine in 2007, where he worked with his brother, Wesley, and helped him with the construction of two of his homes.

He returned to Florida from time to time - as recently as February for a few weeks. Timmy was an avid fisherman and went as often as he could. He loved the outdoors and all it had to offer. Timmy was always ready and willing to help anybody and everybody, whenever they needed it. He also had a good sense of humor and was always joking around. Timmy loved animals, especially his dog, Sheba, who he laid to rest on May 29, 2015. Timmy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Timmy was predeceased by his father, Eben F. Cook in 1985; and his beloved dog, Sheba in 2015.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Bucklin; his daughter, Tiffany Hart; his son, Timothy E. Bucklin; his grandchildren, Madison, Cash and Nicholas Hart; and his companion, Brenda Perkins. He is also survived by his sisters, Phyllis Greathouse, Elaine Butler, Shirlene Moulton, Mary Jane Bunker and Cynthia Audet; his brothers, Eben Bucklin and his wife, Faye, and Wesley Bucklin; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 7, at 2 p.m. at Grove Cemetery in Belfast.
