ROCKLAND — Tickets are now on sale for comedian Paula Poundstone's return engagement at the Strand Theatre, 345 Main St., on August 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Poundstone is known for her distinctive brand of spontaneous observational comedy. She has had her own comedy specials on HBO and BRAVO, has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion. She is a regular panelist on National Public Radio's (NPR) weekly news quiz show Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me.

Recognized as one of Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand-ups of all time, Poundstone has won an American Comedy Award for Best Female Stand-up Comic, and in 2010 she was one of a select group voted into the Comedy Hall of Fame.
