THORNDIKE — A domestic complaint Friday, Aug. 28 on Brooks Road in Thorndike, led to the arrest of 47-year-old Pamela Lowing, who was charged with aggravated assault, class B.

According to Waldo County Sheriff's Lt. Jason Trundy, the Waldo County Dispatch Center received a call from a woman who said she was being assaulted by Lowing.

Deputy Dan Thompson responded to the scene, and after speaking with those involved, he determined that a verbal argument between Lowing and the woman led to Lowing knocking the woman to the ground, according to a news release.

Lowing is then accused of using both hands to choke the woman, causing her to not be able to breath.

The victim was transported by Unity Ambulance to Inland Hospital for treatment. Lowing was transported to the Waldo County Correctional Center, which she remains held with no bail allowed pending arraignment, according to Trundy.
