CAMDEN – Thomas E. Moody, 63, died peacefully on July 13, 2016, following a very brief illness, at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

Born Nov. 26, 1952, in Massachusetts, he moved to Rockland with his family at a young age. Educated locally, he was a graduate of Rockland High School.

Always a hard worker, Thomas began his career of self-employment jobs after finishing high school. For several years he worked at National Sea Products, as a clam digger and also in construction. He put his talents as a carpenter to good use, helping family renovate their homes, and even building his own home in Waldoboro.

Thomas was a gifted guitar player and often played with local groups and bands. He will be sadly missed.

Predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, Wayne and Ralph Moody; Thomas is survived by his children, Thomas Moody Jr. of Rockland, Lisa Chavez of Rockland, Eric Moody and his wife, Jennifer, of Cushing, Jamie Moody of Waldoboro, and Tanya Moody of Rockland; his siblings, Lillian Vose of Thomaston, Beatrice Dudley and her husband, Leroy Sr., of Portland, Donald Moody Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Lincolnville, Esther Lane of Florida, Sally Moody, Dorothy Moody, and Rosemary Moody, all of Rockland; many grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

Thomas' family has chosen to remember his life privately.
