Theresa Ann ( Engelhardt ) King, 78, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2017 after fighting Alzheimer's for over 11 years.

She was born in Hartford, Conn., on October 25, 1938 to Theadore and Mary (Paul) Engelhardt.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Melvin E King, Sr.; a son Richard King; a grandson George James King, and her parents.

She is survived by thre brothers: Robert , Theadore and Donald Engelhardt; her son, Melvin E King, Jr., and wife Susanne, and Ronald and Alice King; daughters Linda Chamberland, Gloria Carney and her husband, Mark, Sandy King and her daughter, Carol Colson, and husband, Kevin Colson.

She had many grandchildren: Michael, Nicholas, Tammy, Jason, Paul, Joshua, Jessica, Melissa, Christopher, Anthony, Kortney, Chantal and Erik and many great grandchildren, nephews and nieces; as well as special longtime friends and family Cyrena Linscott, Zina,Elaine Gray, Lauren, April,Cliff, Stef, Ash, Nancy and Wayne.

She will be forever remembered with her red lipstick and nail polish, playing cards and singing and dancing.

She was a loving and happy person who loved to make people laugh and she was the best wife, mother, grandmother and friend anyone could ever have. She will be missed.

She will be welcomed by God and reunited with her loved ones.

Family and friends are invited for visiting hours on Tuesday August 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast , ME.
