Thelma ‘Terry’ Dodge, obituary

CUSHING — Thelma “Terry” Niedermann Dodge, 92, died Nov. 17, 2016, at the Sussman House in Rockport. Born in Cushing on Nov. 11, 1924, she was the first daughter of Clarence H. and Rose L. (Schmid) Wales.

She attended local school and was a 1942 graduate of Thomaston High School.

Her life was a series of adventures. In her retirement she enjoyed the quiet of her home and all its aspects of nature: the wind, the fog, and the sun in all the seasons and her trees.

She was predeceased by her two husbands, Oscar F. Niedermann and George I. Dodge Jr.; her son, David Kim Niedermann and his wife, Ann Marie.

Terry is survived by her daughter, Kristi Niedermann; her sister, Jeannette W. Chapman; her sister-in-law, Hilda Dodge; numerous nieces and nephews; her stepsons, Edward Dodge and his wife, Charlene, Richard Dodge and his wife, Sandra, and Philip Dodge; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Terry Donaher and his family; and numerous other dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, Nov. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland. Private Interment will be in Norton Cemetery in Cushing.
