NORTH HAVEN — If today’s rain has you feeling blue and soggy, take a moment to consider those who make their living on Penobscot Bay, as well as those who live on one of the islands in the bay or whose job it is to get people to and fro — across the bay.

Camden resident Shannon Lynn Thompson had to take the ferry Tuesday morning to North Haven for work, and shared a video of the voyage on YouTube and Facebook.

Thompson’s video shows exactly what a rough day crossing the bay on the ferry can look and feel like. Any rougher, and it’s likely the State Ferry Service would keep its boats tied up on one side of the bay or the other until the seas calmed a bit.

According to Thompson, she is scheduled to come back this afternoon. Good luck and fairer seas!
