Sunday Sangha Soup at Dancing Elephant
On Sunday, January 8, Rockland Shambhala Meditation Center, at the Dancing Elephant, 16 School Street, Rockland, will host the first of monthly potlucks, the Sunday Sangha Soup. After the regular Sunday open meditation session, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., participants are invited to stay for soup, and whatever else sangha members and interested others may offer. The meditation and the potluck are open to the public, and are free.
The Rockland Shambhala Meditation Center is part of Maine Shambhala, a nonprofit organization affiliated with Shambhala International. Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, a Tibetan Buddhist master, founded Shambhala in the 1970s. There are now more than 200 Shambhala Meditation Centers in the world.
