APPLETON – Steven Philip Oakes, 31, passed away Aug/ 25, 2014.

He was born Jan. 7, 1983, to Tim and Katrina Pease Oakes of Appleton. As a boy he was mischievous, curious, fearless, kind-hearted and sweet. He loved music, video games, cats, jumping in the quarries, and most of all his family and friends. He was generous to a fault, a hard worker and a loving father. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who loved him.

Steve was predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey Noel Oakes in 2004; his uncles, Sidney Oakes and David Pease; and his grandmother, Tina Pease. He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Katrina Oakes of Appleton; the greatest loves of his life, his two sons, Gabriel David Oakes and Jason Jeffrey Oakes; and their mother, Jaime; all of Warren; his brother, Daniel Timothy Oakes and his wife, Katrina Jeannine Oakes, of Rockland; his grandparents, Noel and Geraldine Oakes of Rockland, and Philip and Mabel Pease of Union; his nieces and nephews, Emily, James, Mary and Lucy; his Aunt Kathy Kellet and her husband, Roger, of Hope; and his Uncle Bruce Pease of Richland, Wash.

A gathering of love and remembrance for close friends and family will be held Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery in Warren.
