CAMDEN — Steve Laite is back doing auto repair, tightening valves, replacing brake pads, and stretching up under cars on the lift at Camden Exxon, all after a seven-month hiatus.

“We are back in business with repair work,” he said, May 16.

Steve, and his wife, Jackie, had been working with a business partner, who had taken over the vehicle repair side of the garage, while they concentrated on the tractor and towing side of the larger enterprise.

But, the arrangement did not work, and they now want customers and the public to know that they are running both enterprises once again. They are continuing with light truck and auto repair, as well as 24-hour towing and lockout service.

And, Steve will respond as he always does when Knox County Communications Center tones out vehicular crashes and his assistance is required. It’s business as usual for the couple.

“Just like we have for the last 30 years,” said Laite.

Camden Exxon is on the corner of Union Street and Belmont Avenue.
