St. Patty's Day fun at the Farnsworth
ROCKLAND - On Saturday, March 16, the Farnsworth Art Museum will offer a free family craft activity to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The activity will take place in the museum's Gamble Education Center, at the corner of Union and Elm Streets in Rockland, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Participants in the St. Patrick's Day craft activity will create finger printed shamrocks and create their own rainbows and St. Patty's Day well-wishes. Families will also be able to enjoy mini "blarney scones" and listen to some fiddle music. Education staff will be available to assist and to take a Polaroid photograph of each child as an orange-bearded leprechaun surrounded by good luck shamrocks.
The event is open to all ages and is especially recommended for kids 4 to 9 years old. The event is free of charge and no advance reservations are necessary. All materials will be supplied. The snow date for this program is Sunday, March 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Farnsworth's free family activity days are sponsored by Camden National Bank.
