St. George Day events schedule

ST. GEORGE — St. George Parks and Recreation Director Ben Vail is pleased to announce the recreation activities planned for St. George Day, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22. 

Below is the schedule of events for both days.

Children’s Fun Run: The Children’s Fun Run will take place Saturday, July 21 at 8:15 a.m. The event is free. 

Marshall Point 5K Road Race: The 5K will take place Saturday, July 21 at 8:30 a.m. A registration form is attached to this article and can be mailed to the Town Office at P.O. BOX 131 Tenants Harbor, 04860. Cost is $15 for pre-registered participants and $20 for walk-ups. There will be age group champion awards, as well as overall race winners for both genders. Registration for the race closes at 8:10 a.m. on race day. All proceeds will go to the recreation boosters to support youth recreation opportunities.

Dunk Tank: The Dunk Tank will take place from noon to 2 p.m. behind the town office on Saturday, July 21 and will benefit the St. George Fire and Ambulance Department. Dunkees will include local firefighters and other notable people. 

Corn Hole Tournament: The corn hole tournament will take place Sunday, July 22 at the big ball field at 11 a.m. Registration will begin Friday, July 20 during the street dance. Cost is $20 per team for pre-registration and $30 for walk-ups. There is room for a maximum of 16 teams for the single elimination tournament. There will be awards for champions and runners-up. All participants must be 18 or older.
