Spook-A-Thon Halloween day on Maine Coast TV

    ROCKLAND — Channel 7 will be running classic horror movies throughout Halloween day, 8 a.m. to midnight.

    Here are some of the movies:

    Plan 9 From Outer Space — said to be the worst film ever made, according to Maine Coast TV’s press release. Directed and written by Hollywood legend Ed Wood this film is a long time cult favorite.

    Bride of the Gorilla  — starring Lon Chaney Jr and Raymond Burr.

    Lady Frankenstein  — a 1971 Italian horror film starring Joseph Cotten.

    Its Alive  — a 1974 low budget horror film noted for its Bernard Herrmann score (who also did musical scores for Alfred Hitchcock) and makeup and puppet effects by Rick Baker).

    Voodoman - starring Bela Lugosi.

    The Vampire Bat  — starring Lionel Atwill, Fay Wray, and Melvin Douglas.

    The movies will start at 8 a.m., running throughout the day, and ending sometime around midnight.
