THOMASTON and BINGHAM — Shirley Lamont Brown passed away April 4, 2018 peacefully at home with loved ones by her side in Bingham, Maine. Shirley was born April 10, 1928 in Milford Mass.

As a young girl her family moved to Union, Maine.

She graduated from Appleton High School class of 1946. Shirley was a 60-plus year member of Rebekah’s and enjoyed doing word search and watching game shows her favorite was the “Wheel of Fortune.”

Shirley was predeceased by her parents Willard and Clara Hall Wentworth; two brothers, Bertrum and Maurice Wentworth; her husband, John Gardner Brown, and a son, Gardner (Tim) Brown, in Vietnam, 1969.

Shirley is survived by two sisters, Fern Griffin, of Florida, and Priscilla Kennedy, of Union; sonsLee B rown and wife, Bonnie, of Union, Glennn Sporie and partner, Donna, of Florida, Milton Brown and wife Beverly of Bingham, Zeke Brown and partner Karen Canali of Belmont, Larry Brown and wife Chris, of Arizona, Ed Brown and wife Ruth, of Arizona, Basel Brown and wife Shelley, of Arizona, Aaron Brown and wife Julie, of Arizona and daughter Tracy Glass and husband Brian, also of Arizona.

She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be held in July at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Appleton. Date and Times will be announced. In Lieu of flowers donations in Shirley's memory can be made to the Appleton Alumni High School Scholarship Fund at P.O. Box 131 Union ME 04862 C/O Lorna Hills, Treasurer.
