RESULTS
Boys Soccer
Searsport 3, Bucksport 0… At Bucksport, Searsport improved to 7-2-1 with their fifth shutout while Bucksport fell to 0-9-1.

Dean Evans started the scoring with three minutes to play in the first half when Connor Kneeland beat his man down the right flank and centered a pass in front of the goal that Evans put home. Kneeland would increase the lead in the second half by bending in his kick from the right corner flag with 24 minutes to play in the game. Kneeland then finished off the scoring on a penalty kick with 21 minutes to play.

For Searsport, Ben Powell and George Dakin combined for the shutout with eight saves on 10 Bucksport shots. For Bucksport, Cody Larsen and Jakob Donnell combined for seven saves on 13 Searsport shots.

Belfast 3, Morse 2… At Belfast, Garrett Hamlin scored the game-winner with 8:35 remaining in the second half to best the Morse Shipbuilders 3-2 in an evenly matched contest. 

Morse opened the scoring only fifty seconds into the game on a corner kick, to jump out to a 1-0 advantage.  

Skylar Perkins then tied it up on an assist from Sean Kennedy at the 26:52 mark. Perkins added his second goal at 20:52 to put the Lions ahead temporarily.  

Zidane McMurrin knotted the game at 2-2 with an unassisted left-footed finish past Belfast keeper Andrew Cross. 

Cross made several key saves in the waning moments of the half to keep Morse from tying the game again. He finished the game with eight saves on 22 shots and Alex Fernald finished with eight saves on 14 shots for Morse.

Belfast 5, Lawrence 2
At Lawrence, Belfast scored in the first half with 14:38 remaining by Victoria Curtis assisted by Anna Baiungo.

The second goal by Kelci Faulkingham assisted by Kylie Nelson off a penalty corner.

In the second half, the Lions scored at 19:39 by Alicia Gaiero assisted by Kylie Nelson. The fourth goal was from Nelson assisted by Hannah Sanderson at 12:11 remaining.

Lawrence scored at 11:19 by Lauren Watson and Belfast scored its last goal at 4:25 By Amy Gaiero assisted by Anna Baiungo. Lawrence had the final goal for the 5-2 Belfast win.

Goalie Morgan Fernald faced 11 shots made nine saves for the Lions. Lawrence goalie Emily Tozier faced 14 shots made nine saves. Penalty corners, Belfast had 11 while Lawrence had six. 

Belfast goes to 10-2 while Lawrence falls to 9-3.

Belfast’s Kylie Nelson has broken the school record for most goals in a season. She currently has 26 and the former record was 20.
