Yesterday was the beginning of the regular season for field hockey. Today, Friday, Sept. 4 is opening day for football, boys and girls soccer and cross country.

Results
At Leavitt of Turner, the Mount View Mustangs played an outstanding game but fell to the host team 3-2.

Allie Belaine scored first for Leavitt with 22:13 left in the first half with an assist from Kierstin Leclerc.  

In the second half Reanna Boulay from Mount View scored unassisted off of a corner play with 24:36 on the clock to tie the game 1-1.  

Leavitt's Kaitlyn Leclerc scored unassisted with 19:55 on the clock. 

Leavitt’s third goal came from Ashley Mathieu with 15:44 left in the game.  

Trailing 3-1, Mount View came back one more time with a second goal unassisted by Michelle Bilodeau with 9:22 left to play making it 3-2.  

Mount View's goalie was Alexis Bowman with 14 shots on goal and 11 saves. Leavitt's goalie was Hailey DeMascio with 11 shots on goal and nine saves.  

Mount View had 12 corners and Leavitt had nine corners.

Mount View's JV's lost 3-0.

At Belfast, the Winslow Black Raiders opened the season with a 2-0 win over the host Lions.

The first goal scored came from Sabrina Jandreau. She was assisted by Natalie Greene with 19:12 remaining in 1st half. 

Winslow’s second goal came from Jessica Greeley with 14:27 left in the game.

The Winslow goalie, Delaney Wood, faced 19 shots making 19 saves to record the shutout. The Black Raiders had 10 penalty corners. 

Belfast’s Morgan Fernald faced 15 shots making 13 saves. The Lions had eight penalty corners.
