Sample brews and spirits during Maine Lobster Festival

New ‘Steins and Vines’ event showcases local adult beverages

ROCKLAND – The 67th Annual Maine Lobster Festival presents the first ever Steins and Vines, an exclusive beer and wine tasting event featuring local Maine-based brewers and vintners. The event takes place Thursday, July 31, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Maine Lighthouse Museum,1 Park Drive, in Rockland.

Featuring five Maine brewers and four Maine vintners, this event is open to guests aged 21 and older (no children are allowed and no one under 21 will be admitted). Tickets will be available online at www.mainelobsterfestival.com starting on July 1. Cost is $30 per person in advance or $35 per person at the door.

250 tickets will be sold. Each admission entitles the guest to choose ten tastings of beer and/or wine. In addition, each guest will receive a free pass to the 2014 Maine Lobster Festival. Free passes may be used on July 31, Aug. 1, or Aug. 2. Guests will each receive their own souvenir tasting glass.

Featured brewers are Rock Harbor Brewing, Gritty's Brewing, Andrew's Brewing, Peak Organic Brewing and Sebago Brewing. The featured vintners are Cellardoor Winery, Breakwater Vineyards, Savage Oaks Vineyards, and Sweetgrass Winery. Also, Sweetgrass will present their Three Crow Rum and award winning Back River Gin.

Enter the event using the Lighthouse Museum entrance closest to Main Street, under the Steins and Vines banner.
