Ruth A. Proctor Westfall, obituary

ROCKPORT - Ruth A. Proctor Westfall, 91, passed away August 12, 2017 at Knox Center with her daughter Berneice by her bedside.

Born in Rockland October 25,1925 she was the daughter of Maurice G. and Nancy B. Blake Proctor. She attended Rockland schools until she left to help take care of family. She was a member of the Rockland Salvation Army.

She married Paul J. Westfall in May of 1952. Together they had five children and made their home in Rockland. Ruth worked most of her life at Peoples Laundry in Rockland until the death of her husband in 1976. Then she spent her time as a homemaker.

Ruth is predeceased by her parents, seven brothers, six sisters and her sons Paul E., Eugene G., Sterling L., and Wesley J. Westfall. She is survived by her loving daughter Berneice E. Overlock and her husband Ron with whom she resided the last six years. She is also survived by her grandchildren whom she loved very much, Richard P. Butler, Stephen M. Butler, Meagan E. Westfall all of Rockland, Paul E. Westfall of Warren, Shane C. Westfall, Christy Westfall of Washington; great-grandchildren, Felicia L. Overlock, Ashlyn Butler, Chelsea Grey, Trinity Westfall, Loralei Westfall and Isabella-Dawn E. Westfall.

Visiting hours will be held at 5:00pm, Thursday, August 17th at The Rockland Salvation Army Church, 27 Payne Avenue, followed by a celebration of her life at 6:00pm. The Rev.
