Rotary wins Five Town Little League baseball crown

ROCKPORT — Rotary defeated Lincolnville Fire Department in the Five Town Little League baseball championship on Saturday, June 16 at the Marge Jones Recreation Complex.

Rotary advanced to the finals from the winners bracket of the five team double elimination tournament while Lincolnville Fire Department worked its way to the finals from the losers bracket.

On Saturday, Rotary secured a 10-3 victory to win the title. 

For Rotary, Cameron Brown started the game pitching and completed five innings allowing one hit and striking out 10. Quincy Messer closed out the game pitching the final inning and giving up one hit and striking out one.
 
Leading the Rotary hitting attack were Owen Reynolds (triple and single), Cameron Brown (double and single), Quincy Messer (triple), and Avery Laite, Dominic Roy, and Owen McManus with a single apiece.
 
For Lincolnville Fire Department, Charlie Pons started the game going 3.1 innings giving up four hits and striking out two. Ryan Southworth pitched the final 1.2 innings allowing four hits and striking out three.
 
Charlie Pons and Ryan Southworth (single each) accounted for Lincolnville Fire Departments hits.
