CAMDEN — Rose K. Simeone, 96, died peacefully on Oct. 13, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, at Quarry Hill in Camden.

Born in Ansonia, Conn., on Oct. 4, 1920, she was one of eight children born to Vincenzeo and Michelina Alessio Mastrosimone. Rose was raised in Connecticut, graduating from high school there.

In 1941, Rose married James Joseph Simeone. Throughout her working career, Rose was employed with Lee Beachwear, Robby Len as a seamstress, manufacturing bathing suits. Although a working mom, She spent her life devoted to her one son, James. He was her life.

As a young woman she enjoyed attending dances and going horseback riding. Most recently she has kept busy with knitting and cooking.

She will be sadly missed.

Predeceased by her beloved husband; and all seven of her siblings; Rose is survived by her son, James Simeone and his wife, Althea; two grandchildren, Joey of New York City, and Brooke of Connecticut; as well as her daughter-in-law's nieces, whom she considered grandchildren, Korrin Patterson of Easton and Tammy Stockley and her husband, Tony, of Chester, Conn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 150 Broadway in Rockland. Interment will be held at a later date at the Estes Park Cemetery in Easton.
