BELMONT — Ronald Augostino Giusto, 76, of Belmont, passed away March 21, 2016, after an extended illness.

Ronald was born in Petaluma, Calif., to Helen and John Giusto on June 25, 1939. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1959. He married Valerie Moody on Oct. 17, 1958, in Lincolnville. He moved to Napa, Calif., with his wife and kids in 1963. There he worked for Culligan Water and later as a pipe fitter at Kaiser Steel. He and his wife moved back to Maine to be near their grandchildren in 1986. He then worked as a pipe fitter for Bath Ironworks until his retirement.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, John Giusto and Helen Giusto-Savano; and his wife, Valerie Giusto.

Ronald is survived by his two brothers, Richard Giusto and John Giusto; his daughters, Susan Robinson and her husband, David Robinson, Laurie Giusto, and Sharon Simmons and her husband, Pete Simmons; four granddaughters, Megan Ryan, Sarah Burnside, Jamie Robinson and Melissa Simmons; and two great-grandsons, Caleb Ryan and Barrett Wilson.

Services to be held on Sunday, June 26, at 1 p.m. at Lassell Cemetery on Moody Mountain Road in Searsmont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maine Cancer Foundation.
