Ronald C. Carter, 54, of Jackson, passed away at home on July 22, 2017. He was born on March 6, 1963 in Bangor, Maine. Ron attended Nokomis High School graduating Class of 1981. After graduation he started his life-long career as a truck driver hauling logs and pulp. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ron's hobbies included four-wheeling, hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, especially Ricky Craven, many outdoor sports including ice fishing on the pond which he always called "the circus.”

He is predeceased by his mother, Carrie Anne Carter; a set of infant twin siblings, Dana and Darlene, and special nephew, Jeremy Butterfield. Ron is survived by his father, Ronald E. Carter of Etna; his loving wife of 33 years, Katie of Jackson; his children, Heather Carter and fiancé Scott Sutherland of Jackson, Megan Carter and fiancé Chris Duval of Belmont, Nathan Carter and wife Kate of Waldo; siblings, Paul Carter, Wendy-Sue Butterfield, and Sheila Brooks; grandchildren Hayden, Halle, Kailyn, Jordan, Kalyn, Sam and Ariel; many nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends, Jeff, Captain Ron, Chris and Aaron.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 26th at the Jackson Community Center from 5-7 p.m. followed by a bonfire and fireworks at the family home. In lieu of flowers, please bring fireworks to the bonfire. Memories and condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com.
