ROCKLAND — A Rockport woman was arrested Aug. 13 for allegedly attacking another woman with a wooden pole.

Robin Vultee, 50, was charged by Rockport police with domestic violence assault, assault and violating condition of release.

According to the court documents, Sgt. Travis Ford and Officer Dana Smith responded to a call at a Mill Street residence where Vultee had allegedly accused a woman and her husband of stealing items from her garage. The victim and her family were in the process of moving from the residence where they had been living.

The victim told police that during an argument, Vultee was screaming at her and picked up a section from a 12-foot wooden pole of kiln-dried hemlock that is used for tree pole trimming. Vultree stuck the victim on her head and leg, causing a small contusion on the back of her head and bruising, according to the court documents.

She was transported to Knox County Jail and later released on $1,000 cash bail.

Vultee violated her bail conditions from charges of trafficking in prison contraband and unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs in Nov. 2014 while her husband, Erik Vultee, was at the Maine State Prison after his conviction of sexually assaulting a child.

Vultee will appear in Knox County Unified Court again on Oct. 15.
