Rockport Police beat: Speeding, operating without a license
ROCKPORT — Rockport police reported the following activity July 22-Aug. 1. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
July 9 (late entry)
Robert Demmons, 60, of Warren, was charged by Officer Travis Ford with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief.
July 22
Suzette Gilbert, 68, of Belfast, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Taylor for insurance violation.
July 24
Mary Gargon, 60, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Ford for speeding 48 mph per hour in a 30 mph zone.
July 26
Jennifer Dugan, 43, of Owls Head, was issued a summons by Officer Tony Del Vecchio for speeding 45 mph in a 35 mph zone.
July 27
Joshua Jeffrey Burda, 25, of Gloverville, N.Y., was issued a summons by Del Vecchio for operating without a license.
July 28
Samuel Rains, 36, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Sgt. Jim Moore for failure to stop at a stop sign.
Alexander Thang, 20, of Gardiner, was issued a summons by Del Vecchio for failure to maintain control of motor vehicle.
July 30
Alice Podolsky, 19, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Taylor for illegal possession by consumption.
August 1
Juvenile, of Hope, was issued a summons by Taylor for possession of a tobacco product by a juvenile.
