Rockport Police beat: OUI, inspection and insurance violations

    ROCKPORT — Rockport police reported the following activity Jan. 17-26. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Jan. 17

    Joseph E. Lis, 38, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Taylor for insurance violation.

    Ossian Whipple-Wienges, 18, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Taylor for inspection violation.

    Jan. 18

    Parker G. Swayze, 24, of Lincolnville, was issued a summons by Officer Dana Smith for seatbelt violation.

    Mitchell Kihn, 62, of Warren, was issued a summons by Smith for failure to register motor vehicle with 30-150 days.

    Justin Wells, 36, of Friendship, was charged by Smith with violating condition of release.

    Jan. 19

    David  W. Kelleher, 50, of Newburyport, Mass., was issued a summons by Taylor for speeding 29 mph in a 15 mph zone.

    Jan. 20

    Megan Collins, 25, of Union, was issued a summons by Officer Jim Moore for failure to stop at a stop sign.

    Oakley A. Jackson, 27, of Camden, was charged by Officer Robbie Shaw with operating under the influence.

    Jan. 21

    Michelle L. Howe, 45, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Smith for operating after suspension, attaching false plates and failure to have insurance bond.

    Jan. 22

    Benjamin Hesse, 24, of Hatteras, N.C., was issued a summons by Smith for operating a motor vehicle without a Maine license, inspection violation.

    Jordan L. St. Clair, 35, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Smith for operating after suspension.

    Jan. 23

    Scott A. Nash, 32, of Plymouth, was issued a summons by Taylor for insurance violation.

    Jan. 25

    Trevor J. Miliano, 32, of Belfast, was issued a summons by Taylor for inspection and insurance violations.

    Allen J. Tomasello, 79, of Bremen, was issued a summons by Smith for failure to register motor vehicle within 30-150 days.

    Jan. 26

    Beth Connor, 31, of Washington, was issued a summons by Smith for failure to stop at a stop sign.
