Rockport Police beat: Drug possession, assaulting an emergency care provider, criminal speed

    ROCKPORT – Rockport police reported the following activity Sept. 14-21. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Sept. 15

    Erica B. Smith, 24, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Officer Dana Smith for seat belt violation.

    Daniel K. Hart, 49, of Owls Head, was arrested by Sgt. Travis Ford for a warrant.

    Donald E. Dodge, 41, of Warren, was issued a summons by Smith for inspection violation.

    William J. Giodano, 33, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Smith for seat belt violation.

    Sept. 16

    Scott C. Heatly, 47, of Brunswick, was issued a summons by Smith for inspection violation.

    Donald Bragg, 27, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Robbie Shaw for assaulting an emergency care provider.

    Sept. 17

    Donald E. Nystrom, 60, of Union, was issued a summons by Officer Cooper Plaisted for speeding 70 mph in a 55 mph zone.

    Sept. 18

    Anthony Vitale, 46, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Smith for refusing to submit to arrest or detention.

    Matthew Arflin, 30, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Shaw for criminal speed and operating under the influence.

    Patrick Kio, 28, of Manchester, N.H., was issued a summons by Shaw for possession of scheduled drug; possession of marijuana; sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

    William Havener, 31, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Jim Moore for possession of schedule W and Z drugs.

    Sept. 19

    Nelson C. Walker, 60, of Storrs, Conn., was issued a summons by Moore for failure to dim headlights to oncoming traffic.

    Sept. 20

    Damie M. Augusta, 18, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Smith for operating an unregistered motor vehicle 30 to 150 days; insurance violation; possession of marijuana.

    Jonathan S. Beal, 66, of Belfast, was issued a summons by Smith for failure to register a motor less than 150 days.

    Sept. 21

    Daniel Breen, 33, of Warren, was issued a summons by Ford for inspection violation.

    Traci L. Pelkey, 45, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Smith for operating after suspension; operating with an expired license greater than 90 days.
