ROCKPORT — Just one week after a teenager was charged with 40-50 counts of vehicle break-ins in Rockport and Camden, the neighborhood along Main Street in Rockport underwent another night of thievery.

This time, a car was stolen from the driveway of a Main Street residence. The homeowner reported the car theft as happening during the overnight of Friday-Saturday, July 15-16.

Rockport police also said that during the overnight a resident on Park Street reported a car had been broken into and belongings gone through.

And, one Camden Street business reported a burglary alarm sounding once again, just as it did last week for several nights.

The July 15 car theft and burglary incidents are currently under investigation by Rockport police, said Sgt. Travis Ford, on July 15.

On July 12, Camden-Rockport Police Chief Randy Gagne said a 16 year-old Rockport male had been charged with 40 to 50 counts of burglary of motor vehicles in both Camden and Rockport over the past 10 days. The teen confessed to all of the reported incidents that occurred July 6 in Rockport, and July 11 in Camden, said Camden Detective Curt Andrick.
