ROCKLAND — A familiar face with Rockland Police has been hired to fill one of their patrol vacancies, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

Officer Scott Redmun was with the department for over a year prior to his leaving to work in a more rural patrol and closer to his home. He ultimately decided to return to Rockland and his first day back on patrol was  Aug. 31.

Redmun is specially trained in advanced roadside impaired driving enforcement (detecting drug-impaired drivers) and forensic mapping.

He lives in Knox County with his family.
