Rockland Charter School? WRFR dinner symposium discusses possibilities
This Wednesday, January 4, at 5 .pm., WRFR’s Rockland Metro show will host a radio conversation with Roger W. Brainerd, Executive Director of the Maine Association for Charter Schools. The question: would it be good for Rockland to have a charter school?
Brainerd is a retired teacher and school administrator. The Maine Association for Charter Schools is a nonprofit that works with the Maine Charter School Commission and the departments of education in Augusta and Washington to provide resources and services to charter schools and local school districts,.
WRFR can be heard in Rockland at 93.3 FM and in Camden at 99.3 FM. Following the radio broadcast, the conversation will continue at a dinner symposium hosted by the Old School.
Dinner symposia at the Old School are free and open to the public. Participation in each symposium is limited to 12, so participants must reserve their place in advance. Participants must also be ready to help. The dinner is prepared, and the dishes washed, in collaboration by the participants. To reserve a place at the table, interested persons are invited to contact Robert Lichtman: firstname.lastname@example.org.
