STOCKTON SPRINGS — An investigation into a robbery complaint Aug. 19, resulted in drug trafficking charges against a Stockton Springs woman.

Tiffany Eastman, 27, was charged following investigation into a reported robbery at Rocky Ridge Motel in Stockton Springs.

Waldo County Communications received a call from a male complainant at roughly 1 p.m., stating that he had been robbed by two males while staying at the motel.

Deputies Merl Reed and Chris West responded to the call, assisted by Officer James Kennedy of the Searsport Police Department.

After arriving at the scene deputies interviewed both the complainant and several other guests staying at the hotel at the time of the incident.

When interviewed, the caller told law enforcement that two men had tried to enter his room through a back window. He reportedly told the responding deputies that the would-be robbers were not successful in gaining access to the room and had fled.

Deputy Reed released his tracking K9, though it was unable to track any suspects, according to a press release.

During the course of investigation Deputy Reed eventually came into contact with Tiffany Eastman. It was during their interaction that Reed discovered a bag containing roughly 66 grams of methamphetamine.

Reed also reportedly found several individual plastic bags containing, “various amounts of methamphetamine prepared for sale,” according to a media report.

Law enforcement ultimately determined that no robbery or attempted forced entry had occurred at the motel.

Eastman was arrested and charged with trafficking in schedule W drugs. She was transported to the Waldo County Correctional Center where she is being held on $5,000 cash bail.
