Rising Tide Co-op, in Damariscotta, will be opening our doors earlier beginning June 1, at 7:30 a.m. 

Also starting June 1, the co=op begin charging 50 cents for the large paper bags with handles and 5 cents for all plastic bags.

Rising Tide Co-op is replacing all plastic containers in its produce and bakery departments with compostable containers.

As part of the “Shifting the Tide” sustainability initiative that Rising Tide Co-op has recently adopted, moving away from single-use plastics has been a priority among other eco-friendly measures. 

Rising Tide Co-op is a natural food cooperative with 4,000-plus member-owners located at 323 Main Street in Damariscotta.
