AUGUSTA — Rep. Owen Casas wants constituents to know that Maine State Treasurer Hayes has announced $11.6 Million in new unclaimed property.

Unclaimed property can be cash and other financial assets considered lost or abandoned when an owner cannot be located after a specified period of time.

The State Treasurer may be holding unclaimed property which belongs to you. The last known owner's information is now available on the Treasurer's website: www.maine.gov/upsearch. If your name is on the list, you can file electronically at www.maine.gov/upseearch, or you can call (207)624-7477.
