BELFAST - Rena C. Littlefield, 88, passed away on Jan. 27, 2017, at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast. Born in Exeter, Maine to the late Leon and Ferne Crosby, she spent most of her childhood in Brooks.

After Rena raised six children, one of which was her niece, she then spent 20 years working as a certified nursing assistant for Ben Pay Medical Center. She loved to read and do crafts such as knitting, ceramics and sewing. Rena and her husband, Ralph, enjoyed spending some winters in their Florida home.

Rena was predeceased by her son, Barry Littlefield Sr., who passed away in 1992; and by several of her siblings. Surviving are her loving husband of almost 70 years, Ralph Littlefield Sr. of Belfast; her children, Ralph Littlefield Jr. and his wife, Anne, of Palermo, Rhonda Carlen and her husband, David, of Knox, Michael Littlefield and his wife, Sandra, of Charlotte, and Heidi Gould and her husband, Gary, of Winterport; her two brothers; two sisters; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast. A funeral service will take place on Friday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m. at Morrill Baptist Church, 25 S. Main St. in Morrill.
