Reginald Lloyd Davis, obituary

Fri, 07/11/2014 - 7:30am

Reginald Lloyd "Reggie" Davis, 85, went to meet his beloved wife, Lucille, in Heaven on July 6, 2014. Reginald was born in Beverly, Mass., on June 13, 1929.

After serving in the Army, Reggie and Lucille moved to Liberty and raised their family.

Reggie lived in Liberty Village for 60+ years and was admired by many for his hunting and fishing talents, to others he was known for his green thumb and gardening. It was not unusual, and it gave him great joy to give to others by placing a free vegetable and plant table in front of his house.

Although many saw Reggie as a quiet and private man, to those who knew him well he was an open book. His sense of humor, kind spirit, and ability to give advice and guidance when asked will be missed.

Reginald is survived and will be greatly missed by his daughter, Betty-Lu; his son, Lloyd; his granddaughter, Heather and her husband, John Morris; his grandson, Timothy Ricker and his fiancee, Alexandra Chabot; and two precious great-grandchildren, Amelia and Samson.

A special thank you to his neighbors David, Pia, Ruby, Stella and Ursela. They loved and helped "Di Dah" just like he was part of their family and he loved them as much in return.

Per request there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Ronald McDonald house.
