SWANVILLE — Rebecca L. King, 64, of Swanville, passed away peacefully on Feb. 21, 2017, at home with family.

Rebecca enjoyed seeing and visiting family. She spent most of her summer weekends going to yard sales with her daughter and her best friend, Mary Miller.

She was the widow of Lionel R. King; they were married for 28 years.

Rebecca is survived by her children, Jolene Newton of Swanville, and Philip Newton and his fiance, Cindy, of Belfast; her stepchildren, Donna Harriman, Charlie Wescott, Dougie Wescott, David Lowe and Richard "Bobo" King; two grandchildren, Derrick and Heather Newton; and two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Wyatt, all of Swanville; and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. Rebecca had many siblings, including David Newton and his wife, Sally, Alice Ireland, Harriet Huffman, Rose Newton, Kathy Newton, Gene Newton, JoAnne Newton, Deloris Newton, Ramona Newton, Ronald Newton Jr, Ricky Newton, Patricia Bowen, and the late Wendall Newton.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 4, at 3 p.m. at Swanville Community Church.
