Police seek help with identifying suspects in Smoke Shop burglary

    WALDOBORO — The Waldoboro Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two male subjects caught on a video surveillance camera during an early morning burglary that occurred Oct. 19  between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. at the Smoke Shop in Waldoboro. The Smoke Shop is located on the corner of Kalers Corner Road and Route 1, directly across from the Dunkin Donuts. 

    According to a press release from Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde, the burglars were heard on the surveillance camera referring to each other as “Mark” and “Ken.” The first subject Mark, is between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 180 and 200 lbs.  

    The other subject described as Ken is between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs between 175 and 180 lbs. 

    Mark may be from the Sanford area based on conversations heard during the burglary. 

    The suspects appeared to be extremely organized and precise regarding their movements and activities inside the store. They entered through the front door and exited through the rear of the store. The burglars were able to get into the safe and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise, according to Labombarde.
