CAMDEN - A Camden man was arrested after police say he broke into a downtown store and stole collectible cards, some of them quite rare.

Devyn Robinson, 27, of Camden, was arrested Sept. 28 by Detective Curt Andrick and charged with burglary, felony theft and violating condition of release.

Police say the theft occurred at the Knowledge Vault, a collectibles store on Mechanic Street, sometime during the early morning hours of Sept. 21. According to Andrick, Robinson stole between $2,000 and $3,000 worth of cards.

Andrick said Robinson sold the cards to another collectible store in Bangor and the manager there then alerted Camden police. Most of the stolen cards have been recovered, according to Andrick.

Robinson was taken to Knox County jail and remains there because he violated his conditions of release. The detective said that he had been previously charged by Rockport police Aug. 1 for passing a police road block and operating under the influence.

Robinson will be arraigned Sept. 30 in Knox County courts.
