NORTHPORT — The action will be sky high this Friday, Feb. 9, at Point Lookout’s Pavilion in Northport, where the annual Fire and Ice celebration helps kick off Toboggan Nationals weekend.

Bonfires will be keeping folks warm, as will the chili and chowder. There will be two shows of fireworks, one at 6:30 p.m., the other at 8:30 p.m., and all are invited to this free gathering.

The Fire and Ice festivities will begin at 5 p.m. and run to 9 p.m.

The outdoor event is for the community and those staying for the weekend at Point Lookout (they are filled, and many toboggan teams are booking accommodations there.)

The Fire and Ice is hosted by Point Lookout, and there will music, cash bar, and games for everyone.
