KNOXVILLE, Tenn. and SEARSPORT — Philip E. Wolley Jr., died unexpectedly Sept. 15, 2014, in Knoxville, Tenn. Born in Bangor on Feb. 12, 1957, he was the son of Philip E. and Patricia (Shepard) Wolley.

A 1975 graduate of Searsport District High School, Phil started a baking career with his first job at Slamin's Bakery in Belfast. In 1980, Phil moved to Florida, where he worked his way up to bakery manager with Publix Stores, then relocated to Knoxville, Tenn., with the company where he finished his career.

Phil was an avid sports fan, loved the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed hiking.

Philip was predeceased by a brother, Scott Robert Wolley in 1960. Surviving are his two sons, Nicholas P. Wolley, who is a student at U. Mass at Amherst, and Benjamin Wolley of South Korea; his parents, Philip E. and Patricia S. Wolley of Searsport; two brothers, Peter S. Wolley and his companion, Holly Perry, of Milbridge, and Christopher S. Wolley and his wife, Margaret, of Melrose, Mass.; his nephew, Scott S. Wolley; his nieces, Rachael and Megan Wolley; and his beloved canine companions, Ginger and Rosie.

There are no public services planned. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
