MONTVILLE — Phillip J. Dill Sr., 70 of Montville, passed away on Oct. 28, 2014, in Bangor. He was born March 25, 1944, in Gardiner to Clifford and Marguerite (O'Reilly) Dill.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran who grew up and raised his children in the Gardiner-Hallowell area. Phil was a member of several motorcycle clubs, an avid member of the union. He loved to cook, read, talk to anyone, watch NASCAR abd spend time with family, especially the grandchildren and friends. He enjoyed being in his garage and being in Mike's garage with Mike and P.J.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his step-daughter, Nancy. Those who survive Phillip are his wife of 23 years, Doris Dill of Montville; his children, P.J. and his wife, Tracey, of Chelsea, Peggy and her husband, Ryan, of Augusta, Mike and his wife, Lesa, of Pittston, Peter and his wife, Grace, of Saco, Selena of Waldo, Lee and his wife, Shana, of Swanville, and Matthew and his wife, Tiffany, of Montville; a brother, Thomas Dill of Hallowell; his sister, Cindy DeLong of South Gardiner; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A gathering in his honor to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. at Sheepscot Fish & Game on Route 3 in Palermo. The family would like to thank the staff at Westgate Center for their loving care of Phillip.
