ROCKPORT— The Penobscot Bay YMCA announced today that long-time CEO Troy Curtis will be leaving his post at the association to assume the leadership position at another local non-profit agency. Curtis, who has provided the Y with leadership since 2005, will join the Worthington Scholarship Foundation as its Executive Director later this fall. The YMCA currently has branches or program centers in Rockport, Rockland, Camden and North Haven, and provides services to over 6,000 members and 30,000 program participants each year.

Chief Volunteer Officer and Board President Jill Delano stated "Troy has done an incredible job during his tenure and will be greatly missed, but the Board is confident that the existing YMCA leadership team will be able to maintain the high caliber of service that members have come to expect of our Y." She also said, "The YMCA Board of Directors will be initiating plans to provide interim leadership for the association as it begins the search process for the next CEO."

If individuals have further questions they are encouraged to visit the YMCA web page at www.penbayymca.org where periodic updates on this process will be posted, or email the Y at info@penbayymca.org.
