BELFAST — Pauline Anne Clement, 99, a long-time resident of Belfast, died April 14, 2014, at Harbor Hill in Belfast. Born July 30, 1914, in Montville, she was the daughter of Penson and Myrtle (Erskine) Clement.

She was a 1933 graduate of Crosby High School in Belfast. She was also a graduate of Westbrook Junior College and Portland School of Art. She was employed by Fred T. Chase Jewelry Store, which became Stover's Jewelry Store, in Belfast. During the 1940s, she was employed by the Belfast Chapter of the American Red Cross. Pauline was self-employed for many years, specializing in restoring, reproducing and teaching Early American decoration. Later, she was an art teacher for a Waterville Elementary School.

Pauline was an active participant in several Maine artist organizations and guilds. In addition to her interest in art, she was very interested in the town of Montville and enjoyed contributing information and old pictures to the Montville Historical Society. She was also very interested in family genealogy.

Pauline was a member of the First Church in Belfast.

She was predeceased by her sister, Louise C. Farnham; and her brother-in-law, Stuart B. Farnham Sr. Surviving are her two nephews, Stuart B. Farnham Jr. and his wife, Raeleene, of Camden, and Clement E. Farnham and his wife, Nancy, of Holden, Mass.; and several great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Seaview Cemetery in Rockport.
