WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Phoebe Ferraiolo has been hired as a press assistant in her Washington, D.C., office. Phoebe is the daughter of John and Tammra Ferraiolo of Owls Head. She previously served as an intern in Senator Collins' Augusta and D.C. offices for the past three summers.

"Phoebe has an excellent record of academic achievement and extra-curricular involvement, and I am delighted to welcome her back to Washington," said Senator Collins. "As a former intern in my D.C. and Augusta offices, Phoebe proved her work ethic, her talent, and her dedication to the State of Maine. I know that she will continue to be a valuable member of my team and work hard to serve the people of Maine."

Phoebe graduated from Oceanside High School of Rockland in 2013, where she was captain of the varsity field hockey, basketball, and tennis teams her senior year. She went on to study politics and communication at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.

As an undergraduate, Phoebe was president of the club field hockey team both her junior and senior years; vice president of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, an on-campus service society; a new student orientation leader; and a Kevin B. Harrington Student Ambassador at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics. She has also held several internships with ABC and FOX News.
