    November 7 Going in Style

    1979 PG 106 minutes

Out of sheer boredom, septuagenarian roommates Joe (George Burns), Al (Art Carney) and Willie (Lee Strasberg) plan a daring bank heist. But after they pull off the caper, problems begin to crop up — beginning with the death of one of the three old codgers. Hard choices and some even tougher introspection follow as the remaining two head to Las Vegas for a wild fling in this classic comedy directed by Martin Brest.

    Strangers in Good Company

    1990 PG 100 minutes

A busload of eight women become stranded in an isolated part of the Canadian countryside. As they await rescue, they reflect on their lives through a mostly ad-libbed script, and are left with only their wits, their memories and eventually some roasted frogs' legs to sustain them. All the actors are portraying themselves in mostly improvisational dialogue and action.

    NOV. 21 Young@Heart

    2007 PG 108 minutes

Coldplay, the Clash and Jimi Hendrix will never sound the same once you've heard the Young@Heart chorus, a group of Massachusetts senior citizens who thrill audiences worldwide with their unusual — and unusually poignant — covers of rock songs. Stephen Walker's humane and heartwarming documentary, which premiered at Sundance in 2008, follows the elderly ensemble as they prepare their latest show for public performances.

    November 28 Secondhand Lions

    2003 PG 107 Minutes

In 1960s Texas, timid teen Walter is forced to spend the summer with his rich and eccentric great-uncles on their farm, where, over time, he learns surprising tidbits about their mysterious and dangerous pasts. Haley Joel Osment is Walter—his uncles are portrayed by Robert Duvall and Michael Caine, who are marvelous.
